In Greek mythology, the Moirae were the three Fates, whose influence affected even the destinies of the gods. The Greek word moira literally means a part of a portion, and by extension, one's portion in life and destiny. Clotho spun the thread of life, Lachesis measured it, and Atropos literally cut it from existence.
In this roleplay, Resident Evil is the thread of life, and we the players are the Fates. We spin and cut at our leisure, deciding what happens to Raccoon City and it's inhabitants. The object of this game is to rewrite Biohazard's chronology, in any way we wish. We'll begin before Zero and go on as far as we possibly can, maybe even further than Resident Evil 4 or 5.
So how do we go about it, hmm? Well, each player will pick a character from the series, and take turns describing each of their character's actions, eventually creating a "thread." That thread will be one of many woven into the overall storyline. On the main page there are separate boards for each specific area in Raccoon City, such as the RPD and the Spencer Mansion. Anyone can start a thread anywhere, and develop from that point.

- Prerequisites -
- A fair knowledge of Resident Evil's gameplay, story, and characters. You need not have played every single game, but must at least be very familiar with the character you wish to portray.
- Literacy is a must. All posts will be done in third person with proper grammar and spelling. We are telling a new story here, afterall.
- Rules -
There will be no god-moding or power playing of any kind. The character you choose will be human and his/her physical actions can only be described as such. You cannot control or decide the actions of another character belonging to another player.
All posts are to be written in third person with proper grammar and spelling. Astericks will not replace quotation marks, and capital letters, periods, and commas do exist. Should a player not heed this rule, he or she will be warned, and a second or third offense will result in the banning or deletion of the player's account. (This rule does not apply to posts made in the Out-of character areas of the forum)
Resident Evil is a Mature-rated game. While there is no age limit imposed upon the forum, it is expected of the player to act accordingly, with respect towards other players and forum staff.
This is a Rated-R roleplay. Romance is allowed, but be mindful of your actions and descriptions. Usually, in the middle of mass zombie outbreak, there wouldn't be much time available for random sex scenes, especially in a life-threatening situation. The rating is for scenes of violence of gore, the foundation of all survival horror games.
When submitting fan art or fanfictions that are not yours, give credit to those who made them.

- FAQ -
"So How Do I Start?"
1) Pick a character from the list in the "Characters" board. There is also a convenient "Forum Jump" function at the bottom of every page in case you have lost your way from the main page.
2) Once your character is chosen, choose an area to begin roleplaying. Each board represents one of the areas in Raccoon City.
"Can I Be More than One Character?"
- You can "purchase" a secondary character at the Merchant, located in the "Daily Raccoon" board.
- Some characters aren't permanently taken, but still need to be roleplayed for the sake of moving the story along. These are called NPC's (non-playable characters). You can volunteer to temporarily roleplay these characters by stating so in the Official Out of Character Discussion, located over in the "Chat" board.
"Who runs the show here, anyway?"
- I'm Emerald, the admin, and my younger brother Mr. Death is the global mod. Don't be afraid to drop us a PM if you're confused or concerned about something.
"I'm new, and obviously I've jumped in during the middle of the story. How can I find out what's happened previously?"
- In the "Daily Raccoon" board, there is a thread called, "The Story So Far..." It is a short synopsis, describing what's happened thread by thread.
- The "Umbrella Chronicles" board also contains the old archived threads if you want to read the ENTIRE story.
"Can I create my own character?"
- Currently, no. In the past roleplay forums I've run, OC's kind of have the tendency to upstage the canon ones. That, and the majority of members tend to make the OC's, leaving us with very little of the much needed characters from the series.
- It's not been decided yet if we'll eventually allow OC's or not. We'll definitely need most, if not all, of the main characters until we're absolutely sure.
